Consultative Meeting on Bengal Global Business Summit 2019: A Precursor
The Government of West Bengal is organising the 5th edition of Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) 2019 on 7-8 February in Kolkata where FICCI is the Summit Partner. As a prelude to the summit, Consultative Meeting with Consulates & Honorary Consuls was organised in Kolkata on 27 August 2018.
The meeting was chaired by Amit Mitra, Minister in Charge for Finance and Industry, Commerce & Enterprises Department, and MSME & Textiles Department, Government of West Bengal.

The meeting was attended by Consular Corps from 28 countries based in Kolkata and senior representatives from bilateral chambers and trade offices.
Amit Mitra spoke on the recent achievements of the state government and briefed on the previous editions of Bengal Global Business Summit. The annual flagship summit showcases the business readiness and investment potential of West Bengal in front of the global business community. BGBS 2018 received participation of over 4000 delegates across India and 32 countries.
