Rajasthan Realty Conclave Focuses on RERA, Affordable Housing and Financing
FICCI Rajasthan State Council in association with the Department of Urban Development & Housing, Government of Rajasthan, had organised the Rajasthan Realty Conclave in Jaipur on 10 August 2018, which focused on discussions on RERA, affordable housing and financing.
The Chief Guest, DB Gupta, Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan, urged the real estate players not to feel dejected by the various regulatory measures as these will ultimately benefit the sector. Smart companies would adapt and remodel their planning, execution and delivery of projects and others would perish. Rajasthan was a precursor in making the Affordable Housing policy, but the results were not very encouraging. Now, there is a threepronged approach to address the challenge and the state now figures among top 10 states in the country. He said that the government is determined to provide houses to the people in the state in line of the government’s vision of Housing for All by 2022.
Pawan Kumar Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary – UDH & LSG, Government of Rajasthan, mentioned that programmes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Housing for All, Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation, Smart Cities Mission, Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) have citizen focus and RERA would induce transparency in the system and safeguard the interests of the consumers.
