Dig­i­tal Ra­jasthan Con­clave Dis­cusses Emerg­ing Trends and Tech­nolo­gies

Ra­jasthan State Coun­cil along with Soft­ware Tech­nol­ogy Parks of In­dia (STPI), or­gan­ised the 3rd edi­tion of Dig­i­tal Ra­jasthan Con­clave in Jaipur on 29 Au­gust 2018. The pro­gramme fea­tured ses­sions on emerg­ing trends and tech­nolo­gies, cy­ber se­cu­rity and a panel dis­cus­sion on start up in­vest­ments and scaling up, par­al­lel start up pitch town and dis­play of star­tups.

Samit Sharma, Com­mis­sion­erIn­dus­tries, Gov­ern­ment of Ra­jasthan, shared his views about how the dig­i­tal plat­forms en­abled the Gov­ern­ment of Ra­jasthan to trans­form fi­nan­cial and so­cial sec­tor. Through dig­i­tal plat­forms, in­ter­face be­tween gov­ern­ment and ci­ti­zens has be­come more ef­fec­tive. It has also en­abled con­ve­nient and trans­par­ent gov­er­nance. He shared, 'Dig­i­tal

tech­niques have played an im­por­tant role to make ease of do­ing business a re­al­is­tic con­cept. Dig­i­tal plat­forms have also played an im­por­tant role in abol­ish­ing 'In­spec­tor Raj Sys­tem' and bring­ing trans­parency in gov­ern­ment sec­tors.'

Shar­ing about the var­i­ous achieve­ments and fu­ture plans of IT and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Depart­ment, Gov­ern­ment of Ra­jasthan, Ravin­dra Shukla, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Ra­jasthan Knowl­edge Cor­po­ra­tion Ltd., said, 'Ra­jasthan is one of the lead­ing states in the e-gov­er­nance.' He said that a lot of work has been done on upcoming tech­niques and ro­bot­ics along with im­ple­men­ta­tion on the chat box which are con­stantly chang­ing tech­niques of ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence and we are reg­u­larly work­ing on it.

The par­al­lel Startup Con­clave pro­vided ex­po­sure to the emerg­ing star­tups about the use of dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies in solv­ing real-time prob­lems. At the startup pitch down 13 star­tups pre­sented their pro­pos­als in front of the angel in­vestors, ven­ture cap­i­tal­ists and startup men­tors to raise fund­ing for their star­tups.
