Third gender

IT is an irreversible fact that the manwoman binary is no longer the only accepted pairing and that the third gender is increasingly getting acceptance (“What’s your pronoun?”, July 15). The esprit de corps in the LGBTQIA+ community is responsible for the increased momentum behind the struggles to get members their rights. It is heartening that the fight to assert their identity, which for so long they had to keep under wraps, comes from within the community. The increasing support extended by the arts cannot, however, be underestimated. The fight is poised for victory sooner rather than later.
