Ronit Roy, who is a part of the recently released film, 7 Kadam, says that even after so many years, acting never gets easier. “I think for a real actor, it gets worse because the more you work, the more you learn, the more you know. The more you know, the harder it gets because you have to work harder,”

The actor added that he constantly tries to raise the bar. “For an actor who is trying to cross boundaries all the time, it is always a struggle to cross your current upper limit. When you cross that upper limit, it then becomes your bottom limit. So you have to prevent yourself from falling below the bottom limit while trying to cross the next upper limit. So while worse might not be the right word but it keeps getting harder and harder. An actor’s job is never easy," stated Ronit.

When asked about the reason he said yes to the 7 Kadam, Ronit said, “It is a love story between a father and son. People have always seen me play a strict father or an alcoholic father. My character also drinks in this one, but he is a different type of father. I wanted people to see the story and also me playing the role of this kind of father.”

The actor has acted in several films, TV shows and web shows in this career. Talking about the projects which taught him the most, Ronit said, “All of them. On TV, I did Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasauti Zindagi Kay for almost 9 years each. I did a courtroom drama called Adaalat in which in one day I had sometimes 15, sometimes 20 pages of work. Of late, Udaan and 7 Kadam. Every different project teaches you something new. There are new people involved and you learn something from them. Your circumstances are different and you learn something from those circumstances. So everything has something to teach you.”
