Salman Khan's 'Radhe' to have 'multi-format' release on Eid 2021, details inside

-

Salman Khan's Eid release 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' is set to release theatrically as scheduled on May 13 and also simultaneously stream on the OTT platform in a pay-perview format. According to a statement by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios, the film would be available in cinema halls in "all Indian states where the theatres are operational as per COVID-19 protocols."

Salman Khan Films' Twitter handles posted, "The perfect Eid celebration! #Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' releasing simultaneously on multiple platforms worldwide." 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' would simultaneously stream on ZEE5 with ZEE's pay-per-view service ZEEPlex and release on all leading DTH operators-Dish, D2H, Tata Sky, and Airtel Digital TV.

The film would also open in theatres worldwide, adhering to the COVID protocol issued by the government. The team is planning to release the film in over 40 countries across all international territories including Middle East, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Europe.

"If this lockdown is going to continue then we might have to push it to the next Eid," Salman said at a virtual event.

However, with the sudden surge in the number of novel coronavirus cases across the country, there are rumours that like 'Sooryavashi and 'Chehre', release of Salman's film too might be put on hold.

And while the rumour mills are abuzz with reports of 'Radhe' being pushed to 2022, on Wednesday, the superstar himself gave an update on the film' release.

"We are still trying our best to release Radhe on Eid but if this lockdown is going to continue then we might have to push it to the next Eid. But if the cases go down and people take care of themselves and wear the masks, maintain social distancing, don't break the laws that the government has put on us then I think this will die off very soon and if it does then we will have Radhe in theatres on Eid," said Salman. "But if the citizens don't listen and these COVID cases continue to rise then it'0s not just the problem for theatre owners but also for the daily wage workers. It's going to be a really bad one like it was earlier," he added.

Salman further said that people must take this very seriously and see that “we've killed this coronavirus and we move on in our lives before it gets us all."

Salman was speaking at a virtual event organised by GQ India -- the cover launch of Kabir Bedi's forthcoming memoir, 'Stories I Must Tell: The Emotional Life of an Actor'.

Earlier, the actor had taken to Twitter to confirm that his muchanticipated action-thriller 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' will hit the theatres on May 13, 2021, on the occasion of Eid. He had also unveiled a new poster of the forthcoming movie. "Eid ka commitment tha, Eid par hi aayenge kyun ki ek baar jo

maine ....... #RadheOn13thMay #2MonthsToRadhe," he wrote.

The action flick by the Yash Raj Films banner was scheduled to release on Eid 2020 but it could not see the light of the day due to the closing of film theatres owing to coronavirus-induced lockdown.

The movie will see Salman Khan romancing Disha Patani. The flick also features Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda.

'Radhe' is co-produced by Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, and Atul Agnihotri under the banners

Salman Khan Films, in association with ZEE Studios, Sohail Khan Productions, and Reel Life Production.

Besides this, the 'Bharat' star also has 'Tiger 3' along with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the pipeline.
