Govt schools in Patna to get digital makeover
Six government schools of Patna, Bihar are set to get a digital makeover. Under the centre’s smart city programme, smart classrooms would be introduced at Bankipore Girls’ High
School (near Golghar), Balak Madhya Vidyalaya
(Adalatganj), Prathmik Vidyalaya (Lodhipur),
Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya (near Golghar), Kanya
Madhya Vidyalaya (near Adalatganj) and Miller
High School (Beer Chand Patel Marg).
The classrooms will be introduced as part of the area-based development (ABD) plan of the smart city project.
According to report published in a leading daily, the six smart classrooms would come up at the Bankipore Girl’s High School and four would be created at the Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya functioning from the same campus, while seven smart classrooms would be created at the Miller High School. Four smart classrooms would be created in the Kanya Madhya Vidyalaya (Adalatganj). Balak Madhya Vidyalaya (Adalatganj) and Prathmik Vidyalaya (Lodhipur) would get four smart classrooms each.
Divisional commissioner Anand Kishor held a meeting with officials of the Spainbased Eptisa Servicios de Ingeniería SL (the project management consultant for the smart city project), Patna municipal corporation commissioner Anupam Kumar Suman, PMC chief engineer Ashok Kumar, Patna district education officer Jyoti Kumar and other department officials in which various private agencies gave their presentation on the smart classrooms.
