Govt schools in Patna to get dig­i­tal makeover

Six gov­ern­ment schools of Patna, Bi­har are set to get a dig­i­tal makeover. Un­der the cen­tre’s smart city pro­gramme, smart class­rooms would be in­tro­duced at Bankipore Girls’ High

School (near Gol­ghar), Balak Mad­hya Vidyalaya

(Adalat­ganj), Prath­mik Vidyalaya (Lod­hipur),

Kanya Mad­hya Vidyalaya (near Gol­ghar), Kanya

Mad­hya Vidyalaya (near Adalat­ganj) and Miller

High School (Beer Chand Pa­tel Marg).

The class­rooms will be in­tro­duced as part of the area-based de­vel­op­ment (ABD) plan of the smart city project.

Ac­cord­ing to re­port pub­lished in a lead­ing daily, the six smart class­rooms would come up at the Bankipore Girl’s High School and four would be cre­ated at the Kanya Mad­hya Vidyalaya func­tion­ing from the same cam­pus, while seven smart class­rooms would be cre­ated at the Miller High School. Four smart class­rooms would be cre­ated in the Kanya Mad­hya Vidyalaya (Adalat­ganj). Balak Mad­hya Vidyalaya (Adalat­ganj) and Prath­mik Vidyalaya (Lod­hipur) would get four smart class­rooms each.

Di­vi­sional com­mis­sioner Anand Kishor held a meet­ing with of­fi­cials of the Spainbased Ep­tisa Ser­vi­cios de In­ge­niería SL (the project man­age­ment con­sul­tant for the smart city project), Patna mu­nic­i­pal cor­po­ra­tion com­mis­sioner Anu­pam Ku­mar Su­man, PMC chief en­gi­neer Ashok Ku­mar, Patna district ed­u­ca­tion of­fi­cer Jy­oti Ku­mar and other depart­ment of­fi­cials in which var­i­ous pri­vate agen­cies gave their pre­sen­ta­tion on the smart class­rooms.
