SAIL supplies 12,000 MT of steel for Statue of Unity

(sail) has claimed that it has supplied
50 percent steel for the construction of the statue of unity, the world’s tallest statue of indian independence movement leader sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The 182-metre statue was unveiled by prime minister narendra Modi on october 31.
out of the total 24,000 metric tonnes (MT) of steel required for the construction of this statue, sail has supplied around 12,000 MT of steel.
The total quantity of steel supplied by sail includes reinforced steel like TMT bars as well as structural and plates.
