LIMP AND DULL HAIR
There’s nothing as boring as hair that looks and feels limp and dull…and, doubly so during the monsoons. Sylvia Chen, Owner, Butterfly Pond, tells us how to get rid of this nightmare.
• The key is to use detox shampoo once a week to remove any build-up of dirt and impurities
• To counter limp hair, it’s important to seal the cuticle and block out the humidity with an in-salon treatment that will give your hair a good boost of moisture. Get one every fortnight.
• Use a leave-in conditioner after your conditioning treatment at home and seal the ends of the hair after blowdrying with a serum or argan oil. Don’t use too much serum on fine hair.
A top-knot or a sleek high ponytail can look great for the evening. Both these styles work well on unwashed hair. A French braid or Dutch braid (pinch hair out to create lift and volume) on the top crown (box section) and pulling the rest of the hair into a ponytail is a trending style. It works well for mid- lengths and long hair.
