Hair - - Expert Advice -

Hair and scalp treatments with home remedies, or with herbal, organic products are safe during pregnancy. So are haircuts, of course. There are hormonal changes during pregnancy, so the hair may become drier. If so, go easy on the use of hair dryers. Use organic products that are free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils and synthetic colours. Use herbal hair colours, like herbal hair mascaras, herbal hair touch-ups, to conceal a few white hairs, as well as herbal colours that contain natural colourants like henna, indigo, catechu, walnut, etc. Chemical lotions like hair relaxers are not safe to use. It is better to stay away from hair straightening, perming and hair dyeing, as they entail the use of chemicals. You can safely go for hot oil therapies and natural deep conditioning treatments.
