IF YOUR MOTHER HAS… BY DR MICHAEL PRAGER
A wide forehead…
Watch for a receding hairline and failing brows—these will make your forehead seem larger. Standard Botox treatments will only make it more prominent, dropping the brows further and making skin smooth and shiny. An eyebrow raise and treatment for frown lines is best. The temple and cheekbones may need fillers to prevent the area from looking bony.
Prominent eyes…
Fillers in the cheeks will perform miracles. The eyes seem to become larger as the bone around the orbital rim (and generally around the face) naturally deteriorates with age.
Sharp cheekbones…
You may have to choose between your body and your face in your thirties. This is because being overly thin or losing weight suddenly will make increased definition in this area look prematurely aged. Gentle cheek plumping will go a long way.
A plump face…
Watch out for even the smallest signs of jowls. Once your face begins to slide, you might want to seek help. Action can be taken with Botox to the jawline to prevent downward pulling.
A weak jawline…
Keep your weight down, as even a little extra will make your jaw disappear. Botox can define the area, and dermal fillers can work miracles. An orthodontist may also be able to improve the jawline in some cases.
A severe chin…
You may need dermal fillers for the cheeks and lips, to make your chin look smaller and the face rounder. But a big chin can be a blessing later in life as it usually accompanies a good jaw line.
