Luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin has paid a glowing
tribute to the graphic art of tessellation (the tiling of a plane using one or more geometric shapes with no overlaps or gaps) in its new Metiers d’Art Les Univers Infinis creations. Inspired by the work of the Dutch artist MC Escher, the three models (a limited-edition of 20 each) feature the motifs of a lizard, angel, and horseman, in a new technique of gold and mother
of-pearl marquetry.
