Like many avid smok­ers, I never gave any thought to the warn­ing on cig­a­rette packets, since I de­rived a lot of plea­sure in smok­ing. No­body ex­plained also, what lay in store for me in the years ahead. Un­less you know de­tails of a mat­ter, you can­not take any in­formed de­ci­sion. So, I in­dulged in the habit for two decades from the age of 28 years to 48 years. Then I came across a well laid out ar­ti­cle which caused a par­a­digm shift in me. It ex­plained that tobacco con­tains nico­tine which has car­bon, ni­tro­gen, hy­dro­gen, oxy­gen and sul­fur as its con­stituents.
