Pre­vi­ous stud­ies have yielded in­con­sis­tent data about whether train­ing with light weights has bone ben­e­fits, but new find­ings in­di­cate that this type of strength train­ing may be an ef­fec­tive and main­tain­able method of in­creas­ing BMD in older and un­trained pop­u­la­tions, the re­searchers wrote.
