Kajol reveals the secrets behind her ravishing looks…

Health & Nutrition - - FRONT PAGE -

Kajol is one Bollywood mom who knows how to add a youthful zing to her persona every time she steps out. We catch up with the actress at the Olay Total Effects’ event in Mumbai, to know more about what she does to keep looking so gorgeous all the time…

You look the same; you haven’t changed at all… I haven’t changed. But yes, my way of looking at things has... My belief about myself has changed. Today, I believe that I am beautiful, but it took me a long time to believe that. I also think I am a better person today.

On a serious note, what is the secret behind that flawless skin and ageless looks? It feels good when people complement me saying I look fabulous! I am genetically blessed! When I was young, I remember my mother sitting at her dressing table applying makeup, wearing my grandmother’s chiffon sari; she used to do it beautifully like a piece of art. I used to watch her but I was never fond of makeup. I hated it. Both my mother and my grandmother have been stunning, beautiful, active and wonderful women. I was in my late 20s when I looked at myself and said, ‘Damn! I need to do something for my skin’. I never thought of aging then. I went to a dermatologist, who recommended Olay to me way back then. So I started using Olay much before I stood for the brand and spoke about it. And since then, I am continuously using it. As for my skincare routine, it’s simple. I wash my face, moisturize it and use a sun block. I also drink a lot of water, and I make sure I remove my makeup before I sleep, regardless of how tired I am. After which, I apply my night cream, and this I follow religiously. I wish I had known about sun block when I was 16. I started using it when I was 25, and that’s the only regret I have.

“Today, I believe that I am beautiful, but it took me a long time to believe that. I also think I am a better person today.”
