The first In­dian to win a medal in bad­minton at the 2012 Lon­don Olympics, Saina Nehwal be­lieves that fit­ness can only be achieved by an in­ner urge to get out of one’s com­fort zone.

FIT NOTE: Saina trains six days a week and utilises her Sun­days to rest and re­coup for the new week. Her phys­i­cal train­ing is a bal­anced mix of a lot of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing car­dio, weight train­ing, shadow prac­tice and yoga. Her diet con­sists of pro­teins, salad and boiled veg­eta­bles, and con­sum­ing no carbs post 7.30 in the evening.
