Dr Mohan Thomas, Senior Cosmetic Surgeon, Cosmetic Surgery Institute, Mumbai, tells you how to enhance scanty eyebrows… Eyebrow pencils used artistically can show a thicken eyebrows. But there are other natural ways too... Castor Oil: Moisturizes the hair, promotes hair growth, and prevents hair loss. As people get older, they experience hair loss and thinning of hair on the scalp as well as eyebrows, which can be reduced by the application of castor oil. It can be used once a day by lightly massaging it into the brow and leaving it on for 30 minutes before washing it off.

Coconut Oil: Promotes healthy hair growth and improves the condition of damaged hair. Massage coconut oil into the brows and leave it on overnight. This can be done every day.

Aloevera Pulp: Can be scooped out of the leaf and massaged daily onto the eyebrows. It gets absorbed quickly and nourishes the eyebrow hair. It contains over 20 minerals and many vitamins like B vitamins, A, C and E which make for a potent hair stimulus and hair growth.

Onion and Lemon Juice: Pureé a half onion and squeeze to remove the juice. Add lemon juice to take out the smell of the onion and apply it on the eyebrows. Leave it on for a while before washing it off. AISHWARYA P VAIDYA
