But a new study has revealed that forcing yourself to endure the smell for longer than two minutes can actually help you curb the craving. Researchers from the University of South Florida have found that ambient food smells can directly satisfy your stomach, as your brain doesn’t differentiate the source of sensory pleasure. So, instead of running away when you smell those chips, it seems that putting yourself through two minutes of their delicious scent could help you say no!
