Ultras lob grenade at security forces in J&K’s Pulwama, civilian killed
SRINAGAR: A civilian was killed and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan injured when militants hurled a grenade at security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police said.
The grenade was hurled at the security forces deployed on law and order duty at Murran chowk in the district, 31km from here, a police official said.
He said the blast resulted in the death of a civilian identified as Mohammad Ayoub Wani and injuries to a CRPF jawan constable Daljit Kiran.
Security forces have been put on an alert and a manhunt has been launched for the militants, he added.

CM CONDEMNS KILLING OF CIVILIAN Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday condemned the killing of a civilian in a grenade attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. She said killings and violence have done no good to societies, but had only added to the miseries and wounds of people, leaving behind a trail of tragedies. Mehbooba Mufti also sympathised with the injured in the blast and prayed for their speedy recovery.
