Bhagwat arrives for first ever annual meet of RSS in Jammu

Rashtriya Swayamseva­k Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday arrived in Jammu to attend the first-ever annual meet of the Sangh in the city. He was accompanie­d by other top Sangh functionar­ies.

RSS will be holding its annual review meeting in Jammu, a first of its type in Jamu and Kashmir. The top brass of the Sangh will be in Jammu for seven days.

This is an annual review meeting of the prant parcharks (state publicity officers) to discuss the issues faced by the nation and to draft out an action plan.

The meeting will also review the summer training camps, which RSS organises every year.

According to sources, the RSS is looking forward to send a message to the separatist elements in the Valley that Kashmir is an

integral part of the country .

RSS and its state publicity officers, joint state publicity officers, regional publicity officers along with members of its national executive will participat­e in the conclave from July 15 to July 21. While the strategy session will take place from July 18-20.

Around 200 top RSS leaders are expected to take part in this annual event.

RSS general secretary Bhaiyaji Joshi, four of its joint general secretarie­s including Dattatreya Hosabale, Suresh Soni, Krishna Gopal and Manmohan Vaaidya have already reached the winter capital.

Soon after his arrival, RSS chief Mohan Bagwat inaugurate­d a new office building at Ved Mandir, Amphalla, Jammu. Senior RSS leaders of state unit were also present at the function.

In the seven-day stay in Jammu, Bhgwat will neither participat­e in any public function, nor is he scheduled to meet the local RSS unit.
