Three arrested for raping minor

SBSNAGAR: The district police officials arrested three youths for allegedly raping a minor girl on Saturday.

The accused Gurdeep Singh ,27, Sukhwinder Singh ,25, and Balwinder Singh ,22, were arrested on Monday.

As per information, a 14- yearold girl studying in Class 10 filed a complaint with the police that two persons kidnapped her in an auto near Bagowal village when she was on her way to school in the morning. She alleged in the complaint that the accused tied her up with rope and threatened tokillherif she raised any alarm.

“They later took me to an isolated house where they raped me and later dropped her near Bagowal village,” she said.

“They threatened to kill me and my family if I told about the incident to anyone,” the victim told the police. As per the victim the third accused B al win der who was on his bike, found her sitting near the out skirts of Bag ow al village and assured to drop her at home. Instead the accused took her to nearby fields and raped her.

She told the police that she narrated about the incident to her parents the same night.

But fearing insult, her parents did not approach the police station and filed a complaint later.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against trio under Sections 365( kidnapping ),376( rape ), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Pen al Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Of fences Act. HTC
