AAP dharna at Amarinder’s residence today
CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold a dharna in front of Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh’ residence on Monday to demand transfer of investigation into cases pertaining to Amritsar Improvement Trust and Ludhiana City Centre to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for trial outside the state.
The party MLAs and officebearers led by state unit president B hag want Mann and leader of opposition in Punjab assembly Sukhpal Khaira will also register their protest against power minister Rana Gurjit Singh whose name figured in the sand mines auction controversy.
“The party leaders will assemble at Punjab Vidhan Sabha at 10 am and will march towards the chief minister’s residence,” said a party release.
Last week, at a press conference Khaira had asked Captain to hand over investigation into the two cases in Amritsar and Ludhiana to the CBI or quit.
