BJP’s Jawahar, Shourie submit nominations from Drang, Banjar
KULLU/MANDI/SHIMLA: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jawahar Thakur filed his nomination from the D rang assembly constituency at the sub-division al magistrate office at Padhar of Mandi district on Saturday.
Surender Shourie, a zila parishad member, meanwhile filed his papers from the Banjar segment.

Member of Parliament from Mandi, Ram Swaroop Sharma, also accompanied Thakur and spoke to the people about thew el- fare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre.

95 NOMINATIONS SO FAR
As many as 95 candidates filed their nominations on Saturday for the upcoming state assembly election.
Twenty-three candidates, including state Urban Develop- ment Minister Sudhir Sharma (Dharamsala), Congress rebel Vi jay Sing hM ankotia(S ha hp ur) and former ministers Romesh Dhawala (Jawalamukhi) and Sarve en Chowd ha ry( Shah p ur ), filed their nominations from Kangra district.
Fifteen candidates entered the fray from Mandi district, eleven nominees, including state Industries Minister Muke sh Ag ni hotri (Haroli) and state BJP chief Satpal Sing hS at ti( Una ), filed nominations from Una district ,10 from Shimla district, seven from Chamba, six each from Solan, Ham ir pu rand Ch a mb a districts, five from Sir maura nd four from Bilaspur district. Thirty-two independent sand covering candidates also filed nominations on the fifth day. The last day for filing nominations is October 23.
