Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former chief minister Park ash Singh Bad alon Monday slammed the Congress government for the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the state, saying de moral is ed officials are not acting against ruling party workers committing crime.

Badal had earlier called on Par min der SinghKolianwa li, son of SAD Muktsar district president Dy al SinghKolianwa li, who was attacked in Mal out on Sunday evening andi snow admitted to a private hospital in Bathinda.

He said the attack on Kolianwali’s son was not sudden, but was expected. The security of Kolianwali and his son had been reduced after Congress formed the government in the state and Kolianwalih ad raised the matter before the authorities and he (Bad al) talked to the director general of police in this regard, he said.“Those who attacked Parminder had been openly announcing to eliminate Kolianw ali and his son. They are people with criminal record. Such people think that it’s their own government and they can do what- ever they want,” he said.

Bad al, however, hoped that the district administration will do justice in this case.

The former CM said communal harmony and peace was ensured during the SAD-BJP government, but now the forces which don’t want peace were raising their head in the state. “It is up to the government how to control these forces but the deteriorating law and order is the real worry at present ,” he said adding that the Congress has adopted the policy to divide and rule.

Kolianwali alleged that the attack was result of political vendetta as two of the accused Congress leaders had lost municipal polls to SAD candidates.
