LUCKNOW: A 15-year-old-girl suffering from blood cancer was allegedly raped by her neighbour and his friend in Sarojininagar village on the city’s outskirts here on Saturday night.

After the ordeal, the girl was reportedly raped again, this time by a motorcyclist, who assured her help after she was abandoned by the earlier rapists.

Additional superintendent of police (ASP), East, Sarvesh Mishra said the incident came to light when locals spotted the girl loitering alone on Saturday night and informed cops at the Bijnore police outpost. The girl then narrated the entire incident to the police, he added.

The police have arrested the motorcyclist, Virendra Yadav of Banthra, after registering an FIR under IPC section 376D of gang rape and section 5(G) and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, while the two other accused, identified as Shubham and Sumit, are still at large.

The girl told cops that Shub- ham and Sumit met her when she had gone to an eatery near her house in Sarojininagar at around 5 pm. She said they offered her a lift on their motorcycle but took her to a deserted place and raped her after holding her captive for about six hours.

She said the duo later dumped her by the roadside and threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the matter to the police. Narrating further, the girl said that when she was waiting for help when Virendra stopped his motorcycle and promised to drop her home. On the way, she shared her ordeal with Yadav. “But he took her to a deserted spot and raped her. He fled leaving her at the spot,” police said.

The girl’s parents said she has been suffering from the life threatening disease from the past four years. “

ASP Sarvesh Mishra said the girl was sent for medical examination and a social organisation was roped in for her counselling to help her. He added the investigating officer case has been directed to get the girl’s statement recorded before a magistrate.
