3 booked for ‘poisoning’ Fatehabad minor to death after sexual assault
HISAR: Police on Wednesday booked three persons for allegedly poisoning a 15-year old girl to death after gangrape in a Fatehabad village.
The accused, two of whom are cousins, were booked on the complaint filed by the victim’s father after she died during treatment at the Fatehabad civil hospital late Tuesday.
The complainant told police said he and his wife had gone to work in nearby fields on Tuesday and found their daughter missing on returning home.
“The girl’s father alleged that while they were trying to trace their daughter, two men of the same area dropped her home at 3pm and told him that they had taken the girl to hospital as she was feeling sick,” police said.
“It was only when her condition deteriorated and we rushed her to the civil hospital that she narrated the entire episode. She told us that the accused forced her to consume some green-coloured poisonous substance after gangraping her,” the girl’s father said in his complaint.
Fatehabad (City) DSP Gurdyal Singh said: “The victim’s father had filed a case at Bhattu police station stating that his daughter was abducted by three persons, who took her to Chopta Road, few kilometers away from the victim’s house, and gangraped her.”
A case under Sections 302 (murder), 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 (punishment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault) of the POCSO Act has been registered against the two identified and one unidentified person. “No arrest
