BA student raped on pretext of govt job in Ludhiana
LUDHIANA: The Samrala police on Saturday booked a man, who claimed to be a mining officer, and his accomplice for allegedly raping a 20-year-old college student from Chandigarh.
The victim told police that she met accused Rajvir Singh two months ago. He allegedly told her that he could secure a job for her in the mining department and told her to come to Samrala on July 26.
When she reached there, his accomplice Amarjit Singh allegedly served food laced with sedatives and raped.
“First, the FIR was registered in Kirtarpur Sahib, from where it has been shifted to Samrala as the crime took place here,” said inspector Bhupinder Singh, Samrala SHO. HTC
