#METOO’S FIRST HIT: MJ AKBAR

At last, Union minister of state, MJ Akbar, accused of immoral behavior by his erstwhile female journalist colleagues had to step down. He tried hard to dig in his heels. Not unexpectedly, he says that he has stepped down due to the dictates of morality. However, everybody knows he was forced to put in his papers by the BJP leadership. His continuation in office will have meant that the party will have lost any credibility in its claims of being concerned with women welfare. In a way, the BJP has made a virtue out of its political compulsion. Who will be the next to go?
