LAW MUCH PUNISH SEXUAL PREDATORS

A new element # MeToo has been added to the long list of social stigmas that victimise women. Already, we were sick of hearing about cases of rapes, molestation, stalking and kidnapping. No doubt offences like forcing oneself on women had been taking place for long, but had remained undisclosed and unreported for obvious reasons. The fact that the perpetrator of such crimes was somebody in a position of power added to the complexity of the issue. In cases that go to court now, the law will take its own course. We need to be aware that the only option in such cases is punishment from courts. Jagdish Singh Jassal,
