Petrol pumps can go for commercial use of area up to 25%
MOHALI : Petrol pump sites in Punjab measuring up to 1,200 square yards can use 15% of the area for commercial purposes, while it will be 25 per cent for sites measuring above 1,200 square yards.
This was decided in finance and accounts committee meeting of all development authorities (like GMADA) under the housing and urban development held here on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by Vini Mahajan, additional chief secretary, housing department. In the meeting, it was also decided that all public sector units (PSUs) as well as private players (with licence or letter of intent) will be eligible for participating in the bidding process for allotment of petrol pump sites.
The process of calculation of the reserve prices was also decided in the meeting. For the auction of a hotel site up to 2,000 square yards or less, the reserve price will be 135% of the highest residential reserve price fixed in an urban estate/ sector/scheme.
While, for the hotel site of area more than 2,000 square yards, the reserve price shall be 100% of the prevailing highest residential price fixed where the particular site is located.
Apart from the above, some other issues such as assessment and recovery of additional price from the allottees/transferees of sites/plots allotted by the authorities consequent upon enhancement of land compensation were discussed, as also the procedure to utilise EWS (economically weaker section) areas in projects for the purpose of encouraging housing for this category.
The agendas which were finalised in the meeting will be sent for approval of the executive committee.
