Under debt, man ends life in Barnala village

BARNALA : A 45-year-old man of Sekha village was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Thursday. Sukhwinder Singh, a tailor, was reportedly under a debt of ₹3 lakh. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC. Victim’s brother Bahadur Singh said: “He was under mental stress due to bank loan.”
