BILL TO REMOVE CONG CHIEF FROM JALLIANWALA TRUST

A bill to remove the Congress president as a permanent member in a trust that runs the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial to make the body “apolitical” was passed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, amid a walkout by the opposition party. Jallianwala Bagh memorial was established in 1951.
