HARYANA MAHILA CONGRESS TO HOLD RALLIES FROM FEB 22

CHANDIGARH : Haryana Mahila Congress will hold rallies in all districts in the state beginning February 22, party’s state women wing president Sumitra Chauhan said here on Wednesday.

“To begin with, the women wing of the party will hold Mahila Adhikar meetings in various districts. Subsequently, we will take out Kranti Mahila Adhikar rally in all the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies from March 5 onwards,” Chauhan said while talking to reporters here.

She said they would hold road shows in cities and chaupals in villages.

Ahead of these programmes, a two-day training for district and block presidents of the Mahila Congress and other leaders will be organised on February 21-22 at Panchkula where the agenda for the forthcoming polls will also be discussed.

To a question pertaining to women wing leaders’ representation in the ticket distribution, Chauhan said the state Mahila Congress would seek 50% tickets for the forthcoming polls, though it would accept any decision taken by the central leadership in this regard.
