Agriculture dept joint director, ASI suspended

CHANDIGARH :Acting on the complaints on the CM window, chief minister’s good governance associates (CMGGA) programme project director Rakesh Gupta on Thursday ordered suspension of joint director, agriculture department Jangaraj Dhandi.

Presiding over a meeting with nodal officers here, Gupta also ordered suspension of ASI Satish Kumar for falsely getting signature from a 14-year-old girl to close down a complaint on the CM window.

An official release said Gupta ordered Dhandhi’s suspension for hiding the allegations, delay in action, not investigating the matter properly and not giving proper facts in the FIR lodged against the accused.

Directions were issued at the meeting to suspend the ASI of Bhiwani police who made an attempt to close down a serious complaint received on the CM Window by getting fake signatures of a 14-year-old girl and directed to take departmental action against him.

Since no representative of the higher education department was present at the meeting, a show-cause notice was issued to the department, which was directed to change the nodal officer.
