UP GOVT MUST MAKE AMENDS
Political parties try to queer each other’s pitch directly or indirectly for gains. Euphemistically, it is called a battle of wits. But to prevent a leader from visiting a place for a legitimate political activity during elections is reproachable. If the UP government has willfully put hurdles in SP leader Akhilesh Yadav’s visit to address a youth gathering in Prayagraj during elections, it amounts to denying him level-playing field. This violates the tenets of democracy.
