DIRECTS OFFICIALS TO REVIEW SECURITY OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE TAKING MONEY FROM PAKISTAN AND THE ISI

SRINAGAR: After laying wreaths on the bodies of jawans, home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said that no civilian movement will be allowed when big convoys will move in the Valley and directed the officials to “review security of those who are taking money from Pakistan and the ISI”.

In the morning, Rajnath, along with top officials, arrived in Srinagar and headed to the regional CRPF training centre at Humhama where he laid wreaths on the bodies of jawans who were killed in the suicide car bomb attack at Lethpora on Thursday.

Rajnath himself lend a shoulder to the coffin of a jawan and then all the bodies were taken to the technical airport where from they were loaded in a special aircraft to be taken to their native places.

In the backdrop of one of the deadliest attacks on the forces in the last three decades in Kashmir, Rajnath also chaired a highlevel security meet which was attended by governor Satya Pal Malik and senior army, police and CRPF officials and he was briefed by the DG, CRPF, about the attack.

“Whenever big convoys will move, at that time movement of civilians will be stopped for some time. Due to that civilians will face some hurdles and we apologise for that,’’ Rajnath said, while briefing media soon after the review meeting.

In what appeared to have been making a reference to some separatist leaders, Rajnath said there are people who take money from Pakistan and talk the language of ISI, their security should be reviewed.

The home minister said the government is with the families of jawans in this hour of grief. “I have requested all the state governments whatever they could do to help to the families of martyrs should be done.’’
