Thieves steal cash, gold from Gurugram house

GURUGRAM: In a matter of six hours, during which a 95-year-old man was taken to a hospital, thieves allegedly stole ₹90,000 in cash, gold and diamond ornaments, after breaking into his house in Palam Vihar, the police said on Friday. The man was taken to the hospital by his daughter, Usha Kapoor, 69, on Thursday and she came back to find that the cash and ornaments had been stolen, said Sulender Singh, sub-inspector(SI), who is the investigat­ing officer in the case. An FIR has been registered at the Palam Vihar Police Station under section 380 (theft in a building) of the Indian Penal Code(IPC).
