Candleligh­t march held in Sirsa, Hisar

HISAR: Various organisati­ons on Friday took out a candleligh­t march in Hisar to protest against the Pulwama terrorist attack where 44 soldiers of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred.

The Bar Associatio­n of Hisar local court suspended work on Friday. Former Bar president, Kalam Singh said “There was a big security lapse resulting in the death of our 44 soldiers. To protest against terrorism, we have decided to suspend work on Friday.” Colonel Chander Reddu, a local resident, said, “The attack is very tragic and to pay tribute to the martyred, we are taking out a candleligh­t march in Hisar.

The march started from red square market and went across various parts of Hisar.” A candle light march was also held in Sirsa.

Meanwhile, the Parivartan rally of Rajya Sabha MP Kumari Selja was in the eye of storm after a video of a woman giving a dance performanc­e at the venue of the rally, just before it started at Ratia town of Fatehabad, was widely circulated on social media.
