Underpasses and flyovers to decongest peripheral road

GURUGRAM: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is preparing a comprehensive development plan to decongest the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) from Ghata village to Vatika Chowk on Sohna Road. Officials privy to the matter said that a detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared that would include widening the road and construction of underpasses or flyovers or both at major intersections along the SPR. The GMDA will redevelop a 7-km stretch of the 12-km-long SPR with an aim bringing relief to commuters travelling from new sectors.
