Defaulter industrial plot allottees get extension

CHANDIGARH:The Punjab government has decided to allow extension to the defaulter allottees of industrial plots developed by the Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporatio­n limited (PSIEC) at focal points in the state for starting constructi­on and manufactur­ing.

Industry and commerce minister Sunder Sham Arora said defaulters were given an extension up to September 30, 2020.

This extension will be allowed on payment of extension fee chargeable per year at 1% of the current reserve price of the plot fixed by the corporatio­n in the concerned focal point at the time of making payment. The defaulter allottees will have to submit their building plan for approval up to June 30 this year, commence constructi­on at the site by September 30.
