AMRITSAR :Launching a scathing attack on Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his remarks on Pulwama terror attack, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s state chief and Rajya Sabha member Shwait Malik on Saturday called him a “traitor” and urged all Indians to boycott him socially.

“Sidhu has been living in India but continually praising Pakistan and its prime minister. The whole country is mourning the death of soldiers but Sidhu has been favouring Pakistan. Why doesn’t he shift there permanently?” said Malik, while asking Congress president Rahul Gandhi to sack the cricketer-turned-politician from the party.

Meanwhile, welcoming Sony TV’s decision to remove Sidhu from ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, Malik said: “I appreciate the action take by Sony TV. Following in the footsteps of the TV channel, all Indians should now boycott Sidhu socially.”

The BJP state chief said Pakistan has been sheltering terrorists like Osama Bin Laden in the past and the likes of Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar at present but Sidhu turned a blind eye to it. Appreciating Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s call for befitting reply to Pakistan in the Vidhan Sabha on Friday, Malik said the Congress should make its stand clear on Sidhu’s “anti-national” comments.
