GOVT’S FLU ADVISORY

Category A No hospitalisation or medication required

Patients with mild fever, cough and sore throat, body and headache, diarrhoea and vomiting

Category B Home isolation, some may require hospitalisation

Patients with high fever and severe sore throat, as well as those from high-risk groups such as children below the age of five, those above 60, pregnant women, and others

Category C Immediate hospitalisation

Patients with severe symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain and drowsiness, drop in blood pressure, sputum mixed with blood and bluish discolouration of nails, along with co-morbid conditions.
