CM RAWAT WARNS OF ACTION

DEHRADUN: Amid reports of threats to and attacks on Kashmiri students in Dehradun, CM TS Rawat on Sunday warned of strict action against anyone trying to disturb peace and harmony. Issuing the warning on his official Twitter handle, Rawat refuted reports of attack on Kahmiri students in Dehradun. “No such incidents have happened.”

On Saturday night, state police issued an advisory on social media platforms asking people to not believe in rumours being spread by miscreants to incite violence. The message came after some fake news, alleging “terror attack near Forest Institute of India” and incidents of raising pro-Pak slogans, was found to have been circulated.
