BADAL SEEKS SEDITION CASE AGAINST SIDHU

-

CHANDIGARH: Former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday demanded registration of a sedition case against local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for his remarks on the recent Pulwama terror attack.

Badal arrived in the Vidhan Sabha after getting to know of the pandemonium in the House as Akali Dal demanded action against Sidhu. Speaking to the media in the Vidhan Sabha lobby, Badal also sought Sidhu’s dismissal from the Congress party and expulsion from the state cabinet. He urged Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to act against Sidhu for openly siding with Pakistan in the wake of Pulwama terror attack.

“It is astonishing that Sidhu is standing by his cricketing friend Imran Khan who is the PM of Pakistan, the country sponsoring terrorist attacks. His remarks are against national sentiment,” Badal said.
