EIGHT BOVINES FOUND DEAD, COPS SUSPECT POISONING

AMRITSAR:Three cows, a calf and a stray bull were found dead near Bombay Wala Khuh while a cow and two stray bulls were found dead in Dussehra ground on Monday morning.

Surinder Kumar, who live near Dusshera ground, said, “I own 25 cows. On Monday morning, when I reached the ground to milk my cows, I found one of my cow wobbling. I called a veterinary doctor but the cow died by the time he came. Later, I got to know about the death of my three other cows and a calf.”

Surinder’s mother Premika Devi said, “Our five bovines have died. Somebody might have given poison to our cattle.”

Additional deputy commissioner of police Jagjit Singh Walia said besides the five bovines of Surinder, they have also found three stray bulls dead. HTC
