ENGG STUDENT COMMITTS SUICIDE

FEROZEPUR: A 21-year-old engineering student was found dead, hanging by the ceiling fan, in a hostel room at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur on Sunday morning.

The victim, Manish Mehta, from Aurangabad in Bihar, is a second year student of mechanical engineering.

On Sunday morning, when his friend Alok came back to his room, he found the door locked. When hostel guards broke open the door, Manish was found hanging by fan.

“We found nothing suspicious in his behaviour in the recent past,” said TS Sidhu, director principal of SBS state technical campus.
