FORMER HARYANA CONGRESS CHIEF QUITS PARTY
NEWDELHI: Former Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar on Saturday resigned from the primary membership of the party, two days after he quit party’s election committees and accused his political rivals of “selling tickets” for upcoming state polls.
“After long deliberations with party workers and for reasons well known to all Congressman and public, I hereby resign from the primary membership of the @INCIndia,” tweeted Tanwar.
In his four-page resignation letter addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Tanwar said, “Congress is going through existential crises, not because of its political opponents but because of serious internal contradiction.” “I tender my resignation from the primary membership of the Congress party, which I nurtured from my sweat and blood. My fight is not personal but against the system which is destroying the grand old party,” the letter said.

ROHTAK: After waiting in vain for days to get a Congress ticket, two former Congress MLAs Anil Thakkar from Sonepat and Radhey Shyam Sharma from Narnaul joined the BJP in the presence of the saffron party’s Haryana in-charge Narendra Singh Tomar in Rohtak on Saturday.
Tomar welcomed both leaders into the party fold and said they will give strength to the BJP.
“The Congress is going through its worst phase. Not just former MLAs, its former state unit chief Ashok Tanwar has also resigned. The Congress has sold its tickets and their angry workers are joining the BJP,” he added. Discussing the party’s poll campaign schedule, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address five rallies and home minister Amit Shah will spend three days in Haryana. HTC
