TWO HELD FOR ASSAULT ON COPS

JALANDHAR: Police on Friday arrested two persons for attacking a woman constable and her male colleague on January 29. Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Balkar Singh said when the cops tried to settle a scuffle between two groups, Sukhwinder Singh of Suraj Gang locality and Simranjeet Singh of Enclave Tower near Lambra in Jalandhar assaulted the woman constable, Kiranjeet Kaur, and tore her colleague Sukhwant Gill’s uniform.
