19-year-old Valley youth assaulted in R’sthan dies

SRINAGAR: A 19-year-old Kashmiri youth who was injured in a brawl with a group of men in Rajasthan succumbed to his injuries on Thursday. His body is being flown to the Valley.

The victim, Ghulam Mohiuddin Khan, had been working for a catering company in Jaipur, his family members said. Superintendent of police, Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar said Khan was injured in a brawl with some catering employees after a marriage ceremony in Jaipur.

“He was admitted in a hospital and succumbed to his injuries. The main accused has been arrested along with two other persons,” he said. The victim is survived by his mother, four sisters and a minor brother. A relative of the victim said Khan’s family no longer has a source of income.” A case was registered under Section 302 of the IPC.HTC
