HARSIMRAT DELIVERS SPECIAL TIFFIN FOR PM

NEW DELHI: Union minister Harsimrat Badal and Shiromani Akali Dal MP Sukhbir Badal on Thursday brought a special tiffin for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the PM had missed the annual lunch the two host to mark the harvest season on the first day of Parliament. The tiffin reportedly consisted saag, makki ki roti, bajre ki khichri and chikki from Bhatinda. In the rare political event, politicians from across party lines had participated, including Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Kapil Sibal, Union ministers S Jaishankar and Piyush Goel, among others. The PM, who had a day full of meetings, including one for better coordination of the NDA, had missed the lunch.
